Wayward Cave is a single-leveled, sprawling maze of tunnels that interconnect and often terminate at dead ends. This is the only place where wild Gible are found in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. Flash is not needed to light the area in the basement floor. The floor features lots of ledges, which lead the player back to the entrance. It is filled with various bike obstacles, such as muddy slopes and jump ramps. ![]() The basement level can only be accessed by the hidden entrance obscured by the Cycling Road. An isolated pocket on this level can be accessed from B1F, which contains TM26 Earthquake. The cave is very dark, so Flash is needed to light the path. Most of the paths are blocked by patches of rocks to force the player to turn back, though some of which can be broken with Rock Smash. The cave features many pathways with sharp turns, with most of them leading the player to dead ends. Wayward Cave is just as the name suggests it is very easy to get lost in. There is another hidden entrance directly underneath the Cycling Road to west of the main entrance which leads into the lower level of the cave this portion of the cave is notably the only habitat of wild Gible in Sinnoh (other than the Grand Underground in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl).Ĭut is required to access the cave. One entrance leads into the upper level of Wayward Cave. It lies on Route 206, with two possible entrances hidden beneath the Cycling Road. Wayward Cave (Japanese: 迷いの 洞窟 Bewildering Cave) is a multi-floor cave located in western Sinnoh. Players should interact with the woman behind the counter in the upper left corner and purchase Flash on the third floor. Flash can be obtained in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl's Veilstone City at the Department Store in the upper left of the city. Of note, the cave is dark, so players may need to use the Hidden Move Flash. Once the player has acquired Strength, they can utilize the secret entrance to Wayward Cave. Once inside the tower, players should battle the NPC trainers until they reach the top and are rewarded with Strength. Once defeated, players should travel to Solaceon Town and go South on Route 209 until they find a tower to the East. After defeating the Canalave City gym leader Byron, players can acquire Strength and earn the sixth badge. Using the entrance underneath the highway will require players to use the Hidden Move Strength to move the rocks blocking their path. ![]()
